|Assistant Volunteer Coordinator - Volunteer Programs|
|Notes||SCOPE: The Assistant Coordinator (Adult Volunteers)Will assist with the supervision, training and evaluation of adult and youth volunteers and also provide administrative support for Volunteer Services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Manage the adult volunteer program including recruitment, interviewing, scheduling, training, supervising, etc. *Coordinate interviews, training and orientation sessions for all volunteers. *Coordinate continuing education classes for adult volunteers. *Monitor/organize all volunteers schedules through Volgistics. *Maintain Volunteer personnel files. *Coordinate the annual Volunteer Banquet and any other department sponsored events through planning and implementations. *Assist with the planning and implementation of Hope Therapy events. *Assist with the development and updating for all volunteers. *Create and maintain an information board for volunteers & maintain the volunteers break room. *Attend SAVY Continuing Education Classes and field trips. *Assist with volunteer operations in the absence of the Volunteer Coordinator or Assistant Volunteer Coordinator(Youth Volunteers) *Responsible for enforcing Moody Gardens policies and procedures: documenting incidents and taking disciplinary actions as needed. *Travel to schools, area business, and conferences as assigned and necessary. *Attendant scheduled meetings *Perform miscellaneous as assigned. SECONDARY POSITION RESPONSABILITIES: *Assist with the management of the SAVY (Society for the Advancement of Volunteer Youth) program including recruitment, interviewing, scheduling, training, supervising, etc. *Assist with the intern program as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent; preferred two years of college experience and/or work experience in related field; strong management and organizational skills; proficiency with computer word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills; creativity; ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines; flexibility with scheduling; professional appearance; able to lift 50 pounds.
