Building Maintenance Supervisor
Department Maintenance
Notes ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and oversees the workflow and procedures for all building maintenance areas. Develop and maintain a work order system that efficiently communicates needed repairs and allows for prioritization and quality control of all building maintenance. Review department capabilities and constantly evaluate the deed and effectiveness of specific functions and procedures. Maintain an efficient record/filing system that include as-builts, all modifications to the buildings and inspection reports from in-house as well as all government and licensing bodies. Conduct and recommend training and development for in house maintenance staff to maximize our capacity for maintaining all buildings. Conduct scheduled inspection to insure quality control and compliance with industry standards as well as the standards expected by Moody Gardens. Hire, evaluate, promote and undertake corrective actions for assigned employees with the Director of Facilities approval. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, deal with guest and coworkers in a positive manner and work cooperatively with other departments. additional duties as assigned by the director of Facilities to achieve the goals and mission of Moody Gardens. the entire facilities staff works as a team when needed. SKILLS NEEDED: Ability to read labels, blueprints, schematics, and comprehend detailed instructions. Must have several years of supervisory experience. Demonstrate strong leadership abilities with employees. Must have an understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, constructions trade and practices. Must understand 480v 3ph motor control centers. Must have an understanding of pumps and pump controls. Must have experience with Building Automation Systems and controls. Must have valid Texas drivers license.
