|Voice Actor (Vactor)|
Under the supervision of the Lead Performer and Venue Manager, the Voice Actor (Vactor) is responsible for interacting with and entertaining guests while performing both as an iconic cartoon character with the 4D immersive and interactive SpongeBob SubPants Adventure, as well as a Show Host in rotation along with the current roster of Vactors/Hosts. Essential Functions: -Vocally impersonate a designated cartoon character in order to present both comedic scripted and improvisational material to an audience in an engaging and exciting manner through both one-on-one and group interaction. -Utilize the digital puppetry skills necessary to portray an iconic cartoon character. -Memorize music, lyrics, and dialogue, which include both a Show Host and Character script. -Encourage and sustain a positive family-friendly guest experience for our guests. -Maintain a consistently outstanding, electrifying, and quality performance regardless of audience size or participation. -Constructively apply performance notes given by Lead Performer pursuant to standards outlined by Nickelodeon Experience Design and its affiliates. Notes may critique vocal performance and/or digital puppetry techniques. Qualifications: Public speaking and improvisational skills are a must. Theatrical, performance, and entertainment experience and skills are a plus. Video gaming skills (manual dexterity with an X-Box Controller) are also a plus. Position requires continuous visual and mental attention while performing and entertaining guests. Manual/bi-manual dexterity, fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, and excellent hearing and speech are required. Candidates must have the aptitude and attentiveness required to perform with an open microphone. Position requires frequent contact with co-workers and continuous direct contact with guests. Miscellaneous Qualifications: Candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and/or evenings. Candidates are expected to wear the assigned uniform, set and maintain an approved schedule, and perform miscellaneous duties as required. Frequent standing, walking, stepping up/down, bending, and reaching is required. Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and climbing ladders and stairs, in addition to working safely around expensive equipment. Routine exposure to bright lights, loud noises, and heat can be expected. Personal Characteristics: Individual should be a charismatic, energetic, outgoing, and family-friendly person that is able to simultaneously vocally perform live and puppeteer a digital media character for a partially scripted, partially improvised interactive comedy show. This is a performance based position, as you will be performing before a large audience. Individual should be dependable, exercise sound judgement, be able to plan and be well organized, have excellent oral and written skills, work well under pressure, and able to take the initiative to solve problems quickly, in addition to being flexible, cooperative, team-friendly, punctual, and discrete with proprietary information not limited to the technology, equipment, and training required in digital puppetry.
