Reservations PM Supervisor
The Reservations Supervisor is to supervise the Reservations Agents and ensure they are answering telephone inquiries in a friendly and courteous manner, and employ sales techniques in order to secure and process reservations for guest accommodations in a timely manner. The reservation’s supervisor will also ensure the high standards of four diamonds will be upheld with all agents for every call.
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities. 
•Know the type of rooms the hotel has as well as their location and layout
•Know of all hotel packages plans-meaning status, rates, and benefits
•Update availability of all distribution channels like GDS, OTA and Web booking systems
•Respond to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone, fax, or through a central reservation system
•Create and maintain reservation records- prepares letters of confirmation and promptly processes any cancellations and modifications
•Process reservations by mail, telephone, telex, cable, fax or central reservation systems referral
•Process reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents
•Know the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation
•Process advance deposits on reservations
•Track future room availabilities on the basis of reservations
•Help develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts
•Assist in preregistration activities when appropriate
•Monitor advance deposit requirements
•Handle daily correspondence
•Respond to inquiries and makes reservations as needed
•Keep files up to date
•Maintain a clean and neat appearance and work area at all times
•Promote goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees
•Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management in any other areas of the house.
•Open and close the availability as and when required of hotel in all the GDS channels, and on the hotel website
•Configure rates on the hotel’s property management system
•Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
•High School diploma preferred
•Call center experience preferred
•Must be reliable and responsible
•Computer literate preferred
•Typing skills preferred
•Must have a clear speaking voice
•Multitasking skills preferred
•Individual should be well organized, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, work well under pressure, and utilize a friendly and courteous manner
•Must be able to sit for long periods of time
•Ability to work in a confined space
