JOB SUMMARY:
The Uniform Clerk will Organize, Maintain, Distribute and Purchase the uniforms for Moody Gardens Employees, and serve a support role to the Human Resources Office.
POSITION AUTHORITY:
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
POSITION GUIDELINES:
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Act as a receptionist for drop-in applicants, employees seeking assistance and new employees 
•Greet visitors immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
•Provide information to applicants and guests, and receive information relative to HR issues, passing such on to the appropriate staff person
•Issue replacement ID badges
•Organize uniforms by department and size
•Maintain accurate inventory of uniforms  
•Order, Receive and process new uniforms 
•Maintain uniform log to whom they are issued
•Altering / Repairing uniforms as is necessary to fit new and current employees 
•Work with managers and supervisors to ascertain uniform needs
•Manage Employee lockers, Distribute Locks and maintain accurate log.
•Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Sewing/alteration work experience required
•Must possess knowledge of sewing equipment and techniques
•Formal tailoring education desired
•Must be computer skilled with email, Excel, Word,
•Must be able to show discretion and high level of confidentiality
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Must be reliable and responsible
•Bilingual (Spanish) both written and oral preferred
•Familiar with computer systems, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and HR system
•Must be able to take direction, work independently to accomplish tasks, work as an effective member of a team, and use good judgment in making decisions and setting priorities
•Must be accurate, timely, and discrete
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Ability to sit for long periods of time
•Ability to push, pull, or otherwise move up to 30 pounds
•Good hand flexibility and finger dexterity
•Good vision
