Cashier/Attendant - VC Concessions
Food & Beverage Attractions
The Concession Cashier is responsible for proper service in the Food and Beverage Outlets, i.e. IMAX and Discovery Pyramid.
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities. 
•Maintain a Guest focus while performing duties
•Assume 100% responsibility for quality guest experience
•Welcome and greet guests within 20 seconds with a friendly polite smile
•At the beginning of shift count the register bank and document and/or report any discrepancies; make sure cashier station is set up for the day with enough guest tickets and take out bags etc.; clean all windows and make sure all buffet labels are set up correctly
•At closing, cashier station needs to be cleaned, organized and restocked for the next day; separate employee checks, discounts, comp checks and void checks
•Collect all forms of credit as it pertains to payment of bills
•Collect and distribute server gratuities appropriately
•Answer phones for takeout orders; take orders carefully to avoid mistakes
•Package all to go orders according to Moody Gardens standards in a fast, friendly, and efficient manner
•Observe customers and notify servers if a guest needs attention
•Notify manager or floor supervisor when a guest is not 100% satisfied
•Be ready and willing to assist servers, assistants or hostesses before being asked
•Thank all guests for their visit and invite them to return
•Attend all scheduled employee meeting and bring suggestions for improvement
•Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
•No prior experience required
•Ability to obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
•Basic math skills
•Ability to deal with large crowds and potentially upset guest
•Ability to handle a fast paced environment that is often stressful
•Must be reliable and responsible
•Ability to exhibit maturity in the workplace and have a cooperative attitude
•Ability to remain on feet standing or walking for entire shift
