JOB SUMMARY:
The Room Service Server is authorized to coordinate the activities of the outlet’s staff to deliver quality products and service to Room Service customers.
POSITION AUTHORITY:
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
POSITION GUIDELINES:
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Prepare the station in anticipation of the day’s business
•Stock work areas with proper plates, glassware, linen, coffee, pots, and napkins and ensure that stock is clean and polished
•Check floors for door hangers, and communicate orders to the kitchen and the next room service shift
•Set trays and tables according to established standards
•Deliver orders according to established standards
•Retrieve trays on a timely basis (throughout the shift)
•Ensure the quality of food & beverage being delivered and communicate with managers when food is incorrect.
•Replenish inventory PARS as needed
•Perform opening shift and closing shift duties according to the established side work checklist
•Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials and upsell items to guests in order to explain menu items to gust thoroughly
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
•Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Must be reliable and responsible
•Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette 
•Knowledge of appropriate cart settings, service ware needed for each item, and menu items
•Ability to read, write, and speak English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Ability to walk, stand and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions
