Are pets/animals allowed on the Festival of Lights trail and other attractions?

No. Only service animals are allowed on the Moody Gardens property. This is for the safety of our guests and animals.

Can I bring outside food and drinks?

Moody Gardens provides many food and beverage options at our restaurants, as well as the indoor and outdoor concession areas. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Where can I find information for guests with disabilities?

There is plenty of handicapped parking spaces located in the Central and West Parking Lots and Parking Garage. Courtesy wheelchairs are available at the Ticket Counters. Guest Services staff will ask that you leave your driver's license as a form of deposit and returned when you return the wheelchair. Can I apply my purchase towards a membership?

Yes! This is the very best Moody Gardens value. An Annual Membership pays for itself in just two visits, so take your receipt to the ticket counter at the end of the day, apply that purchase toward an Annual Membership and enjoy Moody Gardens all year long (Please note that Train Tickets and Arctic Slide Tickets do not apply).

How do I get to Moody Gardens from Houston?

A map is located at the bottom of this page. Take I-45 South to Galveston. Take the 61st Street, Turn right on 61st Street and follow the directional signs to Moody Gardens.

Why does the Rainforest Pyramid and Aquarium Pyramid close at 8 p.m.?

These attractions close early for the animal's wellfare. We follow a regimen that ensures proper rest for them.

Where is the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat?

The Colonel is located next to the Discovery Pyramid by the West Parking Lot. Click here for a map located at the botton of the page.

Where is the Ice Slide and what is the price?

We have two slides. The Ice Slide is located inside of Ice Land and included with that admission ticket. The Arctic Slide is a separate attraction located outside, next to the Ice Rink Tent. Arctic Slide ticket options are located here.

Are jackets available at Ice Land?

Yes, we provide courtesy parkas that are returned as you exit.

What do I wear to Ice Land?

It is 9° inside of Ice Land. Although we provide courtesy parkas, so be sure to wear close-toed shoes. It is highly recommended to bring jackets, gloves and hats for the little ones. They will likely want to go down the Ice Slide slide several times and spend extra time inside this special venue. Hats and gloves can be purchased at Ice Land if you forget to bring your own.
