JOB SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for assisting with all duties in the Commissary and for assisting all visitors who enter the Commissary.
 POSITION AUTHORITY:
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
POSITION GUIDELINES:
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Ensure Commissary is clean and organized at all times
•Check in all deliveries for accuracy and mistakes
•Put up truck when scheduled
•Rotate products and check dates for expirations
•Receive and fill requisitions from Hotel and Attraction including spa, all bars, restaurant, gift shops, etc.
•Count Inventories on a monthly basis 
•Take trash out daily
•Assist during big events such as Marg Fest, Brew Fest, New Year’s, concerts, etc.
•Run product up to the kitchen when needed
•Take care of the need of anyone that comes to the commissary and needs product (Banquets, Housekeeping, Kids Act, Animal People, etc.)
•Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•No experience required
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Must be reliable and responsible
•Ability to multitask
•Ability to maintain a neat and profession appearance
•Ability to be ethical, tact, and courteous when dealing with guest and staff
•Must be able to follow directions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
