GALVESTON BRIDAL GROUP PRESENTS: AN ISLAND WEDDING SHOW AT MOODY GARDENS

Galveston, Texas (April 14, 2021) – Galveston Island Bridal Group and Moody Gardens have united to create a comprehensive planning event designed for newly engaged couples, appropriately called, An Island Wedding Show. This event will take place May 23rd from 12pm to 4pm and will be the first bridal event hosted at this subtropical island resort venue. The wedding show will offer the opportunity to showcase wedding professionals and services that are uniquely available only on Galveston Island, as well as make it simple for upcoming brides to lock-in any and all details before their special day. Guests will be able to visit with over 40 different local wedding vendors, ask questions, enjoy chef presentations and tastings, hair and make-up demonstrations and take a tour of the wide variety of unique facilities at Moody Gardens. Attendees can take care of all of the details in one place and leave the rest up to the professionals. Wedding vendors that will be present include, florists, caterers, bakeries, music and DJ services, officiants, photographers, transportation services and much more!

Galveston Island has the setting, flexibility and expertise to make the experience everything a bride has dreamed of. At Moody Gardens, there are several different possible settings for ceremonies and receptions; from a white sands beach to an elegant ballroom, from enchanting rainforests to lush gardens, or even an evening sunset cruise around Galveston Bay. There are a variety of staged areas throughout the Moody Gardens property that range from intimate to grand event scenarios. The hotel spa is a wonderful space for brides to relax, be pampered and prepped for hair and makeup on their special day. The extravagant hotel suites on the 9^th floor have the ability to host bridal parties and act as a dressing area before the ceremony begins. The floor-to-ceiling windows inside the hotel also present extremely unique photo opportunities with the pyramids and an expansive view of the bay. Moody Gardens has the ability to help couples plan and execute everything from their bridal shower to their big day with on-staff caterers, bakers, event planners and makeup/hair stylists all ready to lend a hand.

Moody Gardens has partnered with Galveston Bridal Group to bring the top wedding professionals in Galveston together for this first-time event. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $10 and all proceeds benefit the Moody Gardens Conservation Fund. The Moody Gardens Conservation Fund helps to support a large number of local and global field conservation efforts, ranging from efforts to protect local sea turtles, to saving African penguins across the globe.
