Moody Gardens Offers Graduation Gift to 2020 Seniors

All graduating 2020 students can present their high school diploma for free admission to any single attraction

 

GALVESTON, Texas (May 27, 2020) — The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically changed the 2019-2020 school year. Parents became teachers, dining room tables became classrooms, field trips became virtual and many high-school seniors found this Spring to be quite different than they imagined. In recognition of this important achievement, high school graduates will receive free admission at Moody Gardens this summer.

The attractions at Moody Gardens are now open and any graduating high school seniors will receive a special graduation gift of free admission to any single attraction. They can present their diploma at any Moody Gardens ticket window to receive this admission valid through July 31.

 

Attractions currently open at Moody Gardens include the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid, MG3D Theater, 4D Special FX Theater, 20,000 Leagues: Interactive Adventure, Colonel Paddlewheel Boat, and the new Dinos Alive exhibit. Palm Beach and the Ropes Course and Zip Line will remain closed for now as waterparks and amusement parks remain under review with the government. The Discovery Museum will remain closed as Moody Gardens’ management deemed these exhibits to be more interactive and potential high-touch zones.

“This is just our small way of acknowledging this big achievement that so many students have invested so much time and effort to accomplish,” said President and CEO John Zendt, who added that education is an important part of the Moody Gardens mission. “Senior year is full of so many special memories, so maybe a visit here can be an opportunity to create some other memories for our graduates here this summer.”
