The Moody Gardens Art & Music Series debuted on Saturday, March 22, with performances by musician Lyda Plummer and artwork by Sara Nygard. Lyda took the stage as a solo artist in front of the Discovery Pyramid Museum, home to TheArt of Music Experience, while Sara showcased her “western-themed” artwork inside the Visitor’s Center.
The concert music series will continue throughout the summer for 2025 with planned performances taking place in front of the Discovery Pyramid from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The Art of Music Experience reveals the creators and stories behind album cover art, highlighting illustrators, painters, photographers, art directors, graphic designers, musician’s and the influence of their vision and ability to communicate the music’s energy, the artist’s brand, likeness, image and symbolism. The traveling exhibit features large-scale, hand painted album covers, displays and neon from The Art of Music Collection, themed educational exhibits, and fan activation.
Lasting Impressions is an immersive 3D art and music experience featuring over 100 masterpieces by French Impressionist artists like Monet, Degas, and Van Gogh. Using cutting-edge 3D Motion Sculpting technology, viewers can virtually step into these iconic works, experiencing them in stunning detail and motion. Accompanied by the music of Debussy, Ravel, and French classics, this experience brings the emotional power of art to life.
