An action-packed two-night adventure awaits! This weekend family celebration is brimming with games, tasty food, and activities for all ages. Enjoy light snacks, an exploration of Moody Gardens attractions, and a dinner show performance of A Christmas Wish: Holiday Spectacular, followed by an excursion through the Festival of Lights trail and entertainment in the Convention Center. Fireworks over Offatts Bayou are set for 6:30 p.m., and the celebration concludes with a kids' New Year's Countdown and Beach Ball Drop, sparkling cider and champagne toasts. You'll kick off the first day of the new year enjoying breakfast, games, activities, and a Mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar for the adults.

As Moody Gardens transforms into Holiday in the Gardens, it has become a holiday tradition as families throughout the region are offered a very diverse range of attractions to complement ICE LAND. Festival of Lights is a mile-long walking trail decked with two million lights and filled with sound-enhanced lighted and animated displays themed to everyone’s favorite holiday music and spectacular views of Galveston Bay. Join the education department on January 2nd for a focus topic of primate adaptations. Featuring an ambassador animal presentation, Bare Necessities adaptation presentation, and exploring the Rainforest Pyramid with interactive hands-on education stations. Advanced registration is required for both adult and youth participants ages 3-17. (Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian.)

Great for all kids entering grades K-8!

Youth in grades K-8th may be registered to attend Moody Gardens Pyramid Kids Fall and Winter Camp. Programs consist of different age-appropriate activities, games, and experiments making it unique every day for your camper. Individual and week sessions are available!

Grab the leash, Fido, and a pre-packaged donation for the Galveston Island Humane Society and receive buy one get one admission to the Festival of Lights trail. Remember that all parties must have a donation to get the deal. Please note that dogs are only allowed on the Festival of Lights Trail.

Enjoy a fun-themed program which could include: games, crafts, experiments, story time, and admission into the corresponding attraction. Our education staff will even send you home with more “at home activity ideas” to keep the learning connections going. (An adult guardian must accompany children). Moody Gardens Educator Workshops provide the opportunity to enhance your curriculum. All workshops are TEKS-aligned and offer a multitude of hands-on activities and educational materials to inspire your students.
