Corporate & Group Volunteers
Volunteering boosts employee morale and builds teamwork. Our volunteer office can arrange a corporate volunteer day for your company, organization or student group, with hands-on projects that keep Moody Gardens looking great and give your group a real sense of ownership.
Program details
Groups may volunteer year-round, weather permitting. Our greatest need is September through May.
A minimum of 15 volunteers is accepted on any given day, first come, first served.
Shifts run a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 hours.
Volunteers must be 16 or older. Children may not accompany adults while volunteering.
Each participant signs a waiver of liability.

Projects and benefits
Projects may include garden and grounds care such as mulching, planting and weeding, painting, exhibit upkeep, event preparation, cleaning attractions like the lazy river and playground, and painting and changing bulbs for Holiday Lights (formerly Festival of Lights). Groups also help at special events like Ghostly Gardens, Mardi Gras Ball for Special People, Easter in the Gardens, the Adaptive Sports Festival and Holiday Lights.
