Teen Volunteer Program (SAVY)
The Society for the Advancement of Volunteer Youth, SAVY, gives students 13 to 17 years old the chance to volunteer in their community while gaining experience in a variety of career fields, with an experience only Moody Gardens can offer.
Goals and objectives
Explore a variety of career fields, including biology and education
Support the Moody Gardens mission: a public, non-profit educational destination utilizing nature in the advancement of rehabilitation, conservation, recreation and research
Take on challenges that grow you mentally, physically and socially, in a program open to everyone
Help create a fun, educational experience for our visitors and guests
Assist staff with a variety of duties and responsibilities
Gain experience for future employment
How to apply
Complete the First Year SAVY Volunteer Application.
Include a letter of recommendation from a non-relative.
Include a copy of your most recent report card.
Once your application is complete, Volunteer Services will contact you to schedule a personal interview.
