Galveston is full of incredible musicians playing at local venues, open mics, family gatherings and garages. So, it’s time we heard what you’ve got! Moody Gardens is launching Get The Gig Galveston — a talent search to find local musical talent. Piano, guitar, sax, vocals... whatever you play (soloists preferred). We’ll book for paid performances at our venues and special events throughout the year.
Bring 1-2 of your best songs to our live audition event on Sunday, August 2. Impress our panel of judges, and you won’t just win a contest — you’ll get the gig.
How to Enter

Include a Facebook or YouTube link that shows you performing a variety of songs — we need to know you have enough materials to hold a stage for a 2-3 hour block.
Submit by 11:59 PM on Friday, July 31.
The Details
Open to Galveston-area musicians. Soloists preferred — our venues are best suited for solo performers.
You must be 16 or older. Under 18? You’ll need to submit a signed approval form from a parent or legal guardian.
Audition slots are limited and first-come, first-served among qualified entries as reviewed by our judging panel.
Our judging panel will review submissions and select who performs LIVE on August 2. Winners are chosen based on that live performance.
Sound system provided! Moody Gardens supplies the sound setup for the August 2 contest — just bring your instrument. (Winners booked for future Moody Gardens shows provide their own sound system.)

No purchase or entry fee. Incomplete entries may be disqualified. Submission does not guarantee an audition slot. By entering, artists grant Moody Gardens permission to review linked content and to photograph/record the August 2 event for promotional use. Selected winners will be offered performance bookings at rates set by Moody Gardens; booking details (including the requirement that performers supply their own sound system) are agreed separately with each artist. Entrants under 18 must include signed parent/guardian approval.
