GALVESTON, Texas (Oct. 2, 2026) – Moody Gardens will ring in 2027 with three distinct New Year’s Eve experiences designed for families, couples and adults looking to celebrate the arrival of the new year.

Families can celebrate together with New Year’s Palooza on Dec. 31 at the Frances Anne Moody Ballroom inside the Moody Gardens Hotel. The family-friendly celebration features a Family Fun Zone with bounce houses, arcade games, air hockey and foosball, while parents can relax in the Adult Lounge. The New Year’s Palooza hotel package includes a one-night stay and four One-Day Passes with access to the Rainforest, Aquarium and Discovery Pyramids, MG3D and 4D Theaters, Holiday Lights and A Very Electric Christmas.

For adults 21 and older, the New Year’s Eve Celebration offers an evening of music and dancing at the Moody Gardens Hotel. The Dec. 31 celebration features live music by Radio Live, hors d’oeuvres, two complimentary drink tickets, a cash bar and a beach ball drop at midnight.

Couples looking for a more intimate celebration can reserve New Year’s Eve Dinner at Shearn’s Seafood & Prime Steaks, located on the ninth floor of the Moody Gardens Hotel. The restaurant offers panoramic views of Galveston Bay and the evening’s fireworks, providing a scenic setting for celebrating the new year.

The New Year’s celebrations are part of Holiday in the Gardens, running Nov. 21, 2026, through Jan. 2, 2027. This year’s festival features the new ICE LAND: Caribbean Christmas, more than 2 million holiday lights along a mile-long trail and the brand-new live stage show A Very Electric Christmas from Lightwire Theater. Additional holiday experiences include ice skating, the Arctic Slide, Scrooge 4D and Rudolph 4D.
