Flying In
Two Houston airports serve Galveston. William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is about 45 miles away, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is about 71 miles away. From either airport, take I-45 South and follow the Directions From Houston above. Moody Gardens Hotel does not run an airport shuttle; our Hotel FAQ lists recommended car services.

The Port of Galveston cruise terminals sit along Harborside Drive on the north side of the island. Stay with us before you sail: the Stay, Park and Sail Package includes a hotel night, covered parking while you cruise, and a shuttle to and from the terminal.
CRUISE PACKAGESTaking the Bolivar Ferry
The Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferry is free and runs 24 hours a day. The crossing takes about 20 minutes, and waits can top two hours during peak seasons. From the Galveston landing at 1000 Ferry Road, follow Seawall Blvd. west to 81st St. and pick up the Directions From Houston above.
